What is the difference between a Free and Premium Account?

The only difference between the accounts is that a paid subscription premium account displays your professional information to another user(s).

Difference between Private and Public Profile?

A private profile is only viewable by the members of the profiles shared group(s). A public profile is viewable by anyone, including visitors to soorse without an account.

Why should I upgrade my account to display my professional information and support a group(s)?

A subscription fee provides the user with two main upgrades:
  • Support the platform that provides the service to link all members of their Group in a trusted verified private directory to find each other professionally and
  • Support the Group or Groups that they value.

How is my Premium Account subscription distributed to a Group or Groups?

The subscription fee to display your professional information is distributed to your group or groups proportional to the amount of time you spend on that group or groups page.

Moreover, if a subscribing user is part of multiple groups (more than one) than there needs to be a fair way to distribute the Groups share of the subscription to the Groups. Soorse currently thinks the fairest way is to account for how much time the user spends on each groups page and distribute the Group portion of subscription to those groups proportionately to the time spent on their page. So, example, I am part of 4 Groups (A, B, C, and D). In a month I spend 50% of my time on Group A's page, 25% with Group B, 25% with Group C, and 0% with Group D. My subscription total is $3.99 / month. The Groups get 60% ($2.40) of the subscription and Soorse keeps 40% ($1.59). So, in that month Group A gets $1.20; Group B gets $0.60; Group C gets $0.60; and Group D gets $0.00.

How do I display my professional information?

Go to Settings, Edit Profile, Professional Information. Input the changes and complete the payment process.

How do I search for people in other User's connections?

Go to a User's Profile, Connections arrow, search bar. The User's connections will be displayed, and the Search Bar has transformed to perform a search in this User's soorse list only.

What is a Group Profile?

A Group Profile is created by a Group Administrator. The Group Profile displays on a page information that may include Name, Location, Membership list/directory, Narrative/Bio, Events.

How do I create a Group Profile?

Go to Sign Up, Group Account <Continue>, enter email and password, read and accept Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy <Continue>, enter backup email <Continue>, complete Group information in entirety Photo, Name, Description, Location(s), identifying documents <Send request>.

How do I know if my Group Profile has been approved or declined?

You will get an email to the email address you used to create the account alerting you that your Group account has been accepted or declined. If accepted, click the button <Activate your account>. If denied you will be provided with a soorse Support link for any concerns/questions. Otherwise, no further action is required.

How can I become an Admin of a Group?

The Administrator (Admin) of a Group will be verified by Soorse as having the authority to perform this role for the Group by means outside of the soorse platform.

To become an Admin of a Group you create the Group Profile.

How does a Group invite members to join?

How does a User request to join a Group?

In a Group Profile page click <Join group>. The Groups icon will populate in your “Groups” tab as Requested. You will receive a notification if your request was accepted or denied.

How do members use a Group Page?

Members of a Group have the ability to view and interact with Group updates, events, and search within the member directory and members profiles.

What can Group Profile Admins do?

Group profile Admins have the ability to edit the Group profile information; input updates; input events; invite, add, and deny members; freeze and delete the profile.

Can I assign a Group Profile Admin?

The Group Profile Admin can assign other Admin(s) at their discretion.

How long will an update display in my Group Profile feed?

Updates posted by admins will display in the Group Page feed for up to one year or until there is a maximum of 200 Page updates; whichever is reached first.

If an update is no longer visible on the page and neither of the above apply, it may have been deleted. Updates can be deleted by any admin.

How can I grow my Group population?

Group Admins can invite members to join the Group. Soorse recommends posting content, maintaining the calendar of events, and reminding members that with Soorse the Group gets a monetary benefit from its professional membership.
